A -Amber Acrylic
G -Gray acrylic
P – PETG copolymer
i.e. GD-400 (clear acrylic) , GD-400 A (amber acrylic)
Acrylic
A strong material that is scratch resistant and very attractive. Readily available in a variety of colors and thicknesses.
Clear
Crystal clear clarity creates attractive and durable products.
Amber
High visibility ‘Safety Orange’ is easy to see, good for high traffic areas.
Gray
Provides better UV protection, yet is still transparent.
PETG
A clear copolymer plastic that is immune to IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) and cleaning agents that include alcohol. Although more resistant to chemicals, PETG is softer than acrylic and more prone to scratching. PETG – “PolyEthylene Terephthalate Glycol modified”
Anti-Static
An anti-static spray, such as Staticide, can be used to help maintain anti-static properties for both Acrylic and PETG materials. Anti-static and static-dissipative materials are available for extreme requirements at a substantial extra cost.
